HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE, Calif. – Lake County Republican Women, Federated met at the Greenview Restaurant in Hidden Valley Lake for lunch on Aug. 14, with many guests and new members present.
Highlighting the agenda was the announcement by Teresa Jackson, committee chair of the Americanism Essay Contest for 11th grade students, that Cody M. Metzler of Clearlake Oaks won the contest “In My Opinion, What it means to be an American Patriot.”
The group was pleased to receive many entries from the 11th grade students in Lake County.
Metzler's entry has been forward to compete in the northern division competition.
Lani Urquiza, chair of the Lake County Republican Central Committee, revealed their heavy fall schedule which will be published shortly. The first event being a booth at the Lake County Fair.
Guest speaker James C. Lewis held the interest of members and guests with his message “What is it all about?” The talk focused on his belief that Democrats have been manipulated by a globalist power.
Lewis is in the process of completing his book, “World Beyond Reason: The Orwellian Factor,” which details what he has found and the conclusions he has drawn.
The talk was followed by the usual question and answer period, with many expressing interest in having a copy of Lewis' book when it is published.
