Our Mom passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, ending a wonderful life of 90 years.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, David (Dave) Lewis; sons Paul (Kathy) and Gary (Darla); grandchildren Stacie (Tim) Drain, Sandra (Paul) Watts, David Lewis and Shelby; and five great-grandchildren Timothy Drain, Annie and Maggie Watts, and Lila and Sarah Lewis.
We could not have asked for a more godly mother who taught us respect, tolerance, pride and caring for others, and who also showered us with love all of her life. As children we were always included in the fun activities of camping and fishing and neighborhood barbecues. We wish all families could experience the love that we did not only while growing up, but all of our lives.
We want to thank Hospice Services for the wonderful care they gave to our mother and also for helping Dad through his grief. We respectfully request that donations be made to Hospice of Lake County which would have been what Mom would have wanted.
A celebration of Lila's life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at United Methodist Church, 676 Clover Valley Road, Upper Lake.
Arrangements were provided by Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary. For further information call 707-263-0357 or 707-994-5611 or visit www.chapelofthelakes.com .
