Sally Silveira of Lakeport, Calif., passed away Dec. 29, 2012, after a brief illness. She was 73.
Sally was born in Oakland on Aug. 28, 1939. She attended Oakland Technical High School and graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1957.
Sally last worked for Hospice Services of Lake County for 12 years.
She enjoyed horseback riding, Bunco parties, dancing and traveling, and was a member of the Clearlake Horseman's Association.
Sally is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Bob Silveira; son, Marc of Danville; sister, Nancy Martucci of Concord; three wonderful grandchildren, Casie, Matthew, and Michael; and one great-grandchild, Caidence.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Doris Sevey; and her beloved daughter, Cindy Turner, who passed away three years ago.
Visitation will be held at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary, 1625 N. High St., Lakeport, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at Hartley Cemetery, 2552 Hill Road East, Lakeport.
Immediately following will be a celebration of Sally’s life at the Lakeport Elk's Lodge, 3775 Lakeshore Blvd., Lakeport.

Our beloved Timothy Lance Malicay Sr., age 34, passed away suddenly Dec. 30, 2012.
He was born March 3, 1978 in Santa Rosa.
Tim is preceded in death by his father, Stanley Thompson Malicay.
He is survived by his children, Eliana, Timothy Jr., Ethan and Jocelyn; his mother, Eleanor; sisters, Angie and Sherri; brothers, Trevor, Adrien and Austin; many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tim was known for his athleticism, funny charm, and love for his children and family.
Tim is coming home Thursday, Jan. 3. Graveside services will be at Robinson Rancheria Cemetery, Mockingbird Lane, Upper Lake, 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Doris Gendron Newton, 77, passed away on Dec. 29, 2012.
Doris was born in Haverhill, New Hampshire. Widowed for 36 years, she was married to Alfred Harry Colquitt Newton III, on January 2, 1956.
Doris lived in Lake County for eight years and was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary and former member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Prior to her illness, she was a volunteer at both the Lakeport Hospice Thrift Store and the Lakeport Senior Center and was a bingo caller at Kelseyville Senior Center.
She is survived by her three daughters, Anne Howe of Lakeport, Calif., Gloria Fullerton of Chesapeake, Va., and Elizabeth Minchew of Gilmer, Texas; six grandchildren, Vincent Smith of San Jose, Ill., Daniel Howe of Lakeport, Cal;if., Salina Turnbull of Allentown, Penn., Jeromy Rater of Honolulu, Hawaii, Holly Ziegler of Augusta, Ga., and Stacy Fullerton of Norfolk, Va.; eight great grandchildren; her special friend Kip Shores of Campton, New Hampshire; her sisters and brothers, Norma Raymond of Norwich, Conn., Neal Mitchell Jr., of Plainfield, Conn., James Mitchell of Plymouth, New Hampshire, and Marianne Stanton of Colebrook, New Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many friends.
The family wishes to acknowledge the compassionate care and assistance provided by Hospice Services of Lake County. Also, special thanks to Deanna Desselle of Breezy who provided invaluable assistance over the last year.
A private celebration of life will be held later in January in California.
