Vera Davis of Glenhaven, Calif., passed away on Nov. 19, 2012, at the age of 94.
She leaves behind her beloved family: sons, Bob Bedwell and Bill Bedwell; granddaughter, Linda Whitley; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Born in Sailor Springs, Illinois to Edward and Fern Robinson, Vera moved around the country, living mostly in Indiana then on to East Oakland before settling in Clearlake Oaks in 1975.
She traveled a great deal as her husband Marshell was a traveling salesman who took her all across the country. In the Bay Area, she worked in several canneries.
She was married to her first husband, Marshell, for 54 years and when he passed away she met and married Al Davis with whom she spent 10 years.
She was a caregiver to both husbands and never complained as she was acting as their nurse.
Vera was always active; she loved to cook and to sew, and at one time co-owned an upholstery business.
She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Clearlake Oaks as well as a member of TOPS.
Her greatest love at the end were her animals – Ty the cat and CJ the dog; they were all the best of buddies.
Vera had a heart of gold and will be remembered fondly by her family and friends.
Services will be private.
Arrangements entrusted to Jones & Lewis Clear Lake Memorial Chapel, Lower Lake, CA, telephone 707-994-6417.

Marion Podany left us peacefully on Nov. 9, 2012, at Rocky Point Care Home in Lakeport, Calif. She had just celebrated her 89th birthday with friends and family.
She was born Marion Elizabeth Clouse in Elk River, Minn., the eldest of three, to Frances and Mary Clouse.
It was in Minnesota where she met her husband of 48 years, Mike Podany. The couple moved to California in 1949 where they settled in Yuba City and Mike started his career in the propane gas business.
They happily raised their three children and in 1961 Marion went back to school to fulfill her dream of being a nurse. In 1973 the couple retired their careers and moved to Clearlake Highlands and then on to settle in Kelseyville.
Marion was a natural caregiver and loved to assist others. She was a life member of the Kelseyville Lioness Club, an active member of the American Legion Tredway Post No. 194 of Kelseyville, and had a love for the Kelseyville Presbyterian Church.
Above all Marion loved her family. She is survived by her three children, Marilyn (Brian) Johnson, Marcy Savala and Mike (Nancy) Podany; seven grandchildren, Chip Tanner, Angie Quinn, Todd Tanner, Kimberly Savala, Cissie Morlan, Brilynn Johnson-Lemberger and Breanna Davis; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate Marion’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary in Lakeport. A reception will follow at the American Legion in Kelseyville.
Donations can be made to the Kelseyville Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 310 or the Kelseyville Lioness Scholarship Fund P.O. Box 652.
