Mack Arthur Hagemann died at home amongst family on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012.

He was born in Pampa, Texas, to Lawrence and Pearl Hagemann.

He served six years in the United States Navy from 1960-1966 and in 1971 he moved to Upper Lake, Calif., with his wife, Nancy Lorene Hagemann, from Alameda, Calif.

He continued to commute to the Bay Area, where he worked as a UC Berkley Campus Police officer.

Mack was an outstanding marksman and was a member of the police department’s competition pistol team.

Upon leaving the UC Berkley Police Department he devoted himself to a typical Lake County life and workstyle; working in a backhoe and tractor business, co-owning a construction business, building roads for a logging business, and growing walnuts.

He also enjoyed numerous hobbies: woodworking, leatherworking, gunsmithing, flying and especially fishing. Mack was an avid fisherman and proud member of the Derby Hat Fishing Club. Ironically, Mack didn’t like to eat the fish he caught and friends and family were always the grateful recipients of that irony.

He was a longtime pillar of the Upper Lake community with friends too numerous to mention.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Lorene Hagemann; two children, Vickie Lynn Red and Joe Wilson Doom; three grandchildren, Jason Red, Brandi Dobmeier and Shawn Jones; five great-grandchildren, Ava Red, Peyton Hynes-Red, Nicole Dobmeier, Jennifer Dobmeier and Elizabeth Dobmeier; as well as one great-great grandchild, Ivy Sowyer.

Papa Mack will be dearly missed.

Arrangements were provided by Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary. For further information please call 707-263-0357 or 707-994-5611 or visit www.chapelofthelakes.com .

Glenn Scott Forsyth
Oct. 19, 1951-Nov. 16, 2012

Proud and loving father survived by mother Irma Forsyth, wife Kathy, brother Randy, sister Pamela Irwin, daughters Kirsten and Lauren, and son Matthew.

Glenn attended Hillsdale High School in San Mateo, graduated from University of California Davis.

Glenn was a swimming athlete and worked as a swim coach of the Foothill Farms Sea Otters and then moved to San Antonio Texas prior to his return to Lakeport to work with his parents’ real estate appraisal business, Forsyth & Forsyth Appraisals run by his mother and father, Earl Forsyth, a retired loan officer and MIA and assistant vice president of New York Life insurance Co.

When Earl retired, Glenn worked as partner with his mother Irma until assuming the business after his mother's retirement, as he managed her care in her declining years after Earl passed away of natural causes in 2007.

Glenn loved and cared for his family deeply, was proud of each of them, loved God and country and his son now serving in the United States Marines.

Glenn was the miraculous survivor of two previous heart incidents, the third of which he did not survive. His age was 61.

He loved his savior Jesus Christ and will be dearly missed as he finds his room in the House of the Lord.
