LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Beloved wife, mother, and friend, Helen Mae (Wunderlich) Layne passed away in the early hours of March 31, 2020.
Born in San Mateo, California, on March 2, 1942, Helen attended Our Lady of Angels Catholic School in Burlingame before moving to Lake County during her junior year of high school.
She graduated from Lower Lake High School in 1960 and soon after married her high school sweetheart, Ron Layne.
After living on the East Coast while Ron was in the Army, they settled in the Santa Rosa area. and Helen held various secretarial jobs while focusing on raising three children: Robert Layne, Maureen Layne Waddle and Christopher Layne.
In 1977, they returned to their beloved Lake County. Helen worked for Konocti Unified School District for 26 years before retiring.
A faithful member of the Catholic Church, Helen could often be found working with the children and the first communion classes.
She and Ron were active members of the Clearlake community and then split time between Clearlake and Arizona during their retirement.
Helen is survived by her husband, Ronald Layne; her sister, Annmarie Schaffer; her children and their spouses Rob (Beth), Maureen (Sean) and Chris (Deb); seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be arranged at a future date.

CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Muriel Hazel Jorgenson, age 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2020, from natural causes at Orchard Park Senior Living in Clearlake.
Interment will be at the Oneota Cemetery in Duluth, Minnesota, by the Williams-Lobermeier-Boettcher Funeral Home. Reception will be at a later date.
Muriel was born May 28, 1927, in Duluth, Minnesota.
She is survived by her caring husband Walter, of 72 years; her son, Gary; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was predeceased three of her children, Randy, Stacy and Marty, and her older sisters, Laura and Delores.
Muriel and her sisters were born to Alderic and Hazel Cote and lived most of their lives in Duluth, Minnesota until she married Walter Jorgenson in 1947 at the age of 20. They raised their four children mostly in the Duluth area. The family moved to San Jose, California, in 1967. Muriel and Walter moved to Clearlake, California, in 1990.
Muriel was an at-home mother, a business secretary and then a manuscript typist for aspiring authors. She loved listening to country-western music, playing cards and board games, cooking and baking to please her family. Raising four children, she became good at saying “Randy, Gary, Stacy, Marty stop it.”
She was a loving, kind, thoughtful and peaceful soul who will be dearly missed in our lives but will live on in the loving memories she has left with us.

Charlotte Elizabeth Price (Morhar)
Dec. 20, 1947 - April 7, 2020
KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – Charlotte Elizabeth Price (Morhar), 72, passed away suddenly on April 7, 2020, in Kelseyville.
She resided in Lake County for 25 years.
Charlotte was born in Port Huron, Michigan, on Dec. 20, 1947, to Stanley Price and Elizabeth Tobi.
She went to school in Port Huron and then moved to Southern California in her early 20s with her first husband, Edwin Grattan.
Later in life, she was married to her second husband, Richard Morhar.
Charlotte worked as a bookkeeper for the accounting business.
Charlotte is predeceased by her brother, Roger Price, and sister, Beverly Carr (Price).
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Brenda Price; nephews, Roger, Rodrick and David; brother-in-law, Lee C. Carr; aunt, Katherine Innes; uncle, John and Mona Tobi; and her daughter, Jennifer Grattan.
She will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who knew her.
