Efren Alvarado Rodriguez
May 11, 1923 – Oct. 10, 2019
LUCERNE, Calif. – Efren Alvarado Rodriguez was born on May 11, 1923, in Fort Davis, Texas, to Fernando Rodriguez Jr. and Merced Alvarado Rodriguez.
He passed peacefully at home in Lucerne on Oct. 10, 2019, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Adela Vasquez Rodriguez.
He is survived by their children, Robert Rodriguez (Mary) of Stockton, California, Delma Luevano (Lu) of Cave Junction, Oregon, Judy Albino (Jim) of Tracy, California, Efren V. Rodriguez (Barbara) of Stockton, Norma Gonzalez (Jose), of Lucerne, Dora Quitiquit (Marion) of Lucerne, Benjamin Rodriguez of Kansas City, Missouri, Ernie Rodriguez of Lucerne and Samuel Rodriguez (Pauline) of Stockton.
He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.
Efren moved his family to Tracy in 1950, where he worked as a truck driver and mechanic for over 40 years for various agriculture companies including Hayes & Sons Trucking, Lucio and Manuel Costa, Thorsten Trucking and the Bianchi Brothers.
Efren enjoyed boating and fishing often accompanied by his wife, Adela. He also enjoyed gardening where he planted tomatoes, squash, chili peppers, melons and the best grapes ever. His wife would can the tomatoes and chili peppers which he would generously share with his friends and family. He was an active member of the Moose Lodge 2283 in Tracy for many years.
Efren also enjoyed hosting barbecues at his home on Tracy Boulevard where he lived over 40 years. Each year on their wedding anniversary a big barbecue was held which always included live Mariachi singers that all the family really enjoyed.
In June 2018, he moved to Lake County, where he lived with his daughter Dora and son-in-law, Marion Quitiquit. His son Ernie Rodriguez also moved to Lake County at the same time.
Efren’s laughter was infectious and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Chapel of the Lakes in Lakeport is handling his final arrangements.
A celebration of life will be held at the Moose Lodge in Tracy on Oct. 25. That will be immediately followed by a luncheon hosted by his children from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friends and family are invited to attend.
Interment will be private.

Patricia ‘Patti’ ‘Da’ Lyndall

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Patricia Ann Lyndall passed away peacefully in her home in the early morning of October 10, 2019.
Patti was diagnosed with lung cancer early 2017. She was a fighter; she fought cancer and was cancer free in March of this year. The disease and the treatment took a toll on her health and sadly she passed at the age of 77.
Patti was born in Seal Beach, California, to Ernest and Nellie Piwald. She moved to San Francisco at a young age and attended Saint Matthews Catholic school in San Mateo, California.
In 1956, Patti moved to Kelseyville and attended Kelseyville High School. She was head cheerleader when she graduated in 1958. After graduation, she moved back to the Bay Area and attended John Robert Powers Modeling School.
While visiting friends in Lake County, Patti went to a party at Deake’s house. When Deake saw her, he said, “Come on Patti, let’s go get some beer,” and that was it, “We dated from then on.” In 1960, Deake and Patti eloped in Reno.
Deake and Patti lived in Lakeport when their first son, Deake Patrick was born on Nov. 20, 1961. Just short of a year later Thomas “Tommy” Lyndall was born on Nov. 15, 1962. The family moved to Hayward where Deake was working. Their third son, Michael “Mike” Lyndall, was born on July 22, 1965. Eventually the family moved back to Kelseyville, where Patti lived for the rest of her years.
Deake and Patti raised their boys on the racetrack. All three of their sons played several sports. The amount of time that Patti spent watching her kids and grandkids on the sidelines at the race track, football field, baseball field, basketball court, golf course, etc., added up to a lifetime of memories.
In 1972, Deake and Patti bought the Brick Tavern in downtown Kelseyville. Patti owned and ran the business until her passing.
In 1989, big Deake and little Deake died in a plane accident in the height of little Deake’s racing career. The loss of her husband and oldest son was obviously devastating. With the help of her two surviving sons, Mike and Tom, and her grandsons, David, Deake Jacob and Brandon she was able to go on and live a beautiful life.
Patti loved being with her family and she absolutely loved holidays. Every holiday was over the top, especially Easter and Christmas. Patti loved being with each of her six grandsons. Sundays were family days, spent out at her house enjoying the lake, pool and wiffle ball! Loud boys, big meals and good laughs every Sunday always brought a smile to her face. Patti’s grandsons were her world and the relationship and love she had for each of them was everything to her.
Survived by her sons, Thomas and Mike (Aleisha); daughter-in-law, Theresa; and grandsons, David, Deake Jacob, Brandon, Noah, Payton and Deake Arthur; and great-grandson, Santino.
The Lyndall family would like to thank her caregivers, Susan Lemos, Eva Baisau, Maileia Lozano, Cindy Offel, Katherine Renner, Jennifer Fletcher and Carla Gallagher.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church on Friday, Oct. 25, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Kelseyville Cemetery.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Robert “Bob” Bunting was born on Feb. 12, 1943, in Danville, Illinois to Robert L. Bunting and Doris F. Bryant.
Bob left this world to join his beloved “Arlenie,” his wife of 51 years who preceded him in death in 2014.
Bob was a devoted Dad to their four daughters, Larina, Sherice, Alicia and Lana and their spouses, Rick, Rick, Tim and Joe.
Bob also leaves behind his 13 grandchildren, Ricky, Erick, Thomas, Dustin, Tamara, Breeona, Janna, Cole, Dustin, Chad, Claire, Matthew and Mark; four great-grandchildren, Haylee, Jaydeon, Skyler and his unborn great-grandson expected to join this world soon; two older sisters, Virginia Tiffany and Barbara Conner.
Funeral service will be held at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary in Lakeport where we will be celebrating his life at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21. Interment to follow at Kelseyville Cemetery, Kelseyville.
