LAKE COUNTY, Calif. — Ride Links, a division of Lake Links, is offering a volunteer driver program aimed at providing transportation services for non-driving seniors or self-ambulatory disabled individuals.
They are actively seeking to expand this program by recruiting more volunteer drivers.
A volunteer driver training will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 14420 Lakeshore Drive, Clearlake.
This initiative can ensure that those in need have access to reliable transportation for medical appointments, grocery shopping and other essential errands.
Volunteers are the backbone of this program, which is particularly important in rural Lake County, which has a significant senior population whose members often find themselves homebound without transportation assistance.
To apply, visit https://www.lakelinks.org/volunteer/ to download an application or fill one out online for the training.
