MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – During the month of September, new customers may come take free Jazzercise classes on Fridays.
Classes are offered at 8:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m. (lite/low impact), 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Jazzercise Fitness Center, 15642 Armstrong Street, two blocks behind the post office in Middletown.
Child care is available for a nominal fee at the 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. classes.

HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE, Calif. – Forty-nine men participated in the HVL Men’s Niners Golf Club medal play competition held on Thursday, Aug. 30.
The results were:
- First flight: Stan Kalata and Dennis Bero tied for first with net 33. Rick Conrad was third with net 34.
- Second flight: Bob Brossier was first at 33. Bill Lyon was second at 34. Doug Healy, Tim Greer and Jim Stratton tied for third at 37.
- Third flight: Mike Riley came in first with the lowest net of the competition, 32. Phil Tyler was second, 33 and Bruce Hamilton was third, 34.
- Fourth flight: Brian Panizzera was first with 34. Hal Weber was second with 35. Dennis Day and Sam DeBone tied for third with 36.
Closest to the par 3 pins were Bob Chesnut and Stan Kalata.
Jim Brown, Rick Canevari, Arch Madsen, and Frank McAtee each scored a chip-in.
