CLEARLAKE – Guided nature walks through Anderson Marsh’s oak woodlands and grass covered hills, followed by a Ranch House tour, are being held once a month for the next three months.
See spring flowers, experience the wildlife of the marsh and Cache Creek, and discover the ways local trees reproduce.
The Anderson Marsh Interpretive Association (AMIA) and the Children’s Museum of Art & Science (CMAS) have collaborated to offer guided nature walks on three Saturdays: March 27, April 17 and May 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The nature walk is ADA accessible.
Anderson Marsh State Historic Park is located on Hwy 53, between Lower Lake and Clearlake.

HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE – The Hidden Valley Lake Men's Niners Golf Club held a low net tournament on March 18.
The results were as follows:
First flight: Stan Kalata and Ron Martinez tied for first with net 35; Rick Canevari and Cliff Hughes had 36.
Second flight: Paul Bertlin posted the lowest net of the day 28, Bill Surber had 32, and Al Burrows and John Jones had 34.
Third flight: Phil Tyler had a fine 29, and Doug Carter, Sam DeBone, and Don Dornbush tied with 35.
Fourth flight: Ron Hallman netted a par 32, while Mason Butler had 34 and Hal Weber 35.
Closest to the par 3 pins were Rick Conrad and Bill Surber.
Chip-ins were scored by Jim Brown, Dennis Bero, Bob Costello, Mason Butler and Bill Surber.
Fifty-two men participated in this event.
