Community Methodist Church of Clearlake Oaks rolls out ‘Operation Cotton Tail’

CLEARLAKE OAKS, Calif. – The Community Methodist Church of Clearlake Oaks reported that its children’s Easter outreach is underway.

“Operation Cotton Tail” this year has a goal of 250 Easter baskets for children in the community.

Last year, the church served more than 120 children in the Oaks with Easter baskets and a visit with the Easter Bunny.

The church is seeking the community’s support for this effort.

All gifts are 100-percent tax-deductible and are sincerely appreciated.

Tamale sale to benefit Queen of Peace Church

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Clearlake is holding a tamale sale to help cover expenses during the pandemic.

With no church services and no collections, Father Adam Kotas said the sale is necessary to help pay the bills.

Tamales are available in chicken, pork or vegetarian.

The price is $25 per dozen.

Kelseyville Presbyterian Church offers online message

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – As its doors remain closed during the countywide shelter in place order, Kelseyville Presbyterian Church is offering outreach and messages from the pastor online.

Pastor Steve Nesheim posted his latest message on Saturday. It can be seen above.

When services resume, they will be held at 10 a.m. Sundays, followed by coffee hour in the fellowship hall.

First Lutheran Church to host virtual service March 29

LUCERNE, Calif. – First Lutheran Church or Lucerne will hold a virtual service on Sunday, March 29.

The sermon will take place beginning at 11 a.m.

Pastor Chris DelCol’s sermon is titled, “I love camping.”

The sermon’s lesson will come from the Gospel of John, Chapter 11, verses 38 to 53.
