CLEARLAKE, Calif. — Praises of Zion Baptist Church in Clearlake announces their free Vacation Bible School from Wednesday, July 16, through Friday, July 18.

This year’s Vacation Bible School, or VBS, theme is “Road Trip.”

Join them as they travel with God and Jesus through the road of life.

It is for children in kindergarten through eighth grade.

The day starts at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast and time to get to know one another.

The program is full of music, Bible stories and videos, recreation, crafts, lunch, snacks and fun.

The day ends at 3 p.m.

Children will be divided by age group for certain activities. There is a good staff to child ratio for the safety of the children.

Children that attend all three days of the “Road Trip” Vacation Bible School will be treated to a Family Fun Night at Tatonka Land Mini Golf in Clearlake on Saturday, July 26, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Families will enjoy a night of mini golf, pizza, and drinks to celebrate the fellowship the children found in VBS.

This event is exclusive to the families of those who attended VBS at Praises of Zion.

Every child that attends must fill out an application. All of the VBS staff are members of Praises of Zion Baptist Church and have been cleared through various background checks to work with children and adults.

Praises of Zion Church is located at 3890 Emile Ave. in Clearlake.

For more information or to request an application, please call Church Administrator Debbie White at 707-245-0401.

Bible prophecy has set the Bible apart from any other book that has ever been written whether philosophical, spiritual, political or educational.

Come and discover how the Bible explains with clarity and certainty the love of God in the context of what is happening today, why and what is soon to come.

The speaker will be Pastor Matt Mattzela, a pastor for many years who has a great joy in sharing the simplicity of the Bible around the world.

He especially enjoys teaching others the ease of understanding books of prophecy such as Revelations, and showing how they can give us hope for the present and the future.
