LAKEPORT, Calif. – Lake County’s own Compassion 2 Help will present another in its series of Christian music concerts on Saturday, Aug. 21, at 7 p.m.
Nationally known artists JJ Heller and Matt Brouwer will perform at the Soper-Reese Performing Arts Theatre, 275 S. Main St., Lakeport.
Seeing both JJ Heller’s and Matt Brouwer’s desire to express the joy of their faith through their beautiful music is not to be missed.
Proceeds will go to Compassion 2 Help, a grassroots charitable organization established to support the hard-working residents of Lake County who have found themselves struggling in these hard economic times through lack of work.
Tickets, $20 for adults and $15 for 18 and under, are on sale at Catfish Books in Lakeport, Expressions of Faith in Upper Lake and the theater box office, open Thursdays from noon to 5 p.m.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Single Adults Learning Together (SALT), Lakeport Christian Center's singles ministry, is hosting a “Outreach to the Community” at Library Park in Lakeport.
The event will be held at noon on Saturday, Aug 21.

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – At Galilee Lutheran Church on Sunday, Aug. 15, Rev. Martha Neff Stum will offer the message looking at Jesus and the surprises he offers believers.
The worship service will begin at 9 a.m.
Rev. Stum's message for the 13th Sunday after Pentecost will be, “Jesus turns everything upside down and gives us what we least expect.” She also will have a special time for the children.
Come and join the friendly congregation as they worship in the great outdoors that God has created.
Refreshments will be served after the service.
The Living Water Band featuring Christian music will play at the gazebo in Library Park in Lakeport at 4 p.m. that day.
