MIDDLETOWN – On Sunday, Aug. 1, at 9:45 am at the New Life Service of the Middletown Community United Methodist Church Rev. Dr. Timothy Locke will give the message, “The Right to Remain Silent.”
The scripture focus is Matthew 10:16-33.
Offered during the service will be open communion, music, celebration, prayers and meditation.
A potluck community dinner will follow.
Take a one-hour break from this tumultuous world with the peace brought through a relationship with Christ, the great healer, and experience whole holiness in the sanctuary.

LAKEPORT – Catalyst Youth Ministries will hold a youth car wash fundraiser on Saturday, July 31.
The car wash will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Grocery Outlet parking lot at the corner of S. Main Street and Lakeport Boulevard.
Proceeds will benefit Lakeport Christian Center's Catalyst Youth Ministries, which will help send youth to the Compelled Youth Convention in Sacramento.

MIDDLETOWN – Rev. Peggy Thompson will be the special speaker for this Sunday's New Life Service at the Middletown Community United Methodist Church.
The service starts at 9:45 a.m.
The July sermon theme is “Seeing Visions, Dreaming Dreams.” Rev. Thompson's message title is “God is paying attention – are we?”
Special music from Peter De Long and the Resurrections will be featured at the 9:45 a.m. July 25 New Life Service.
The Resurrections inspire congregations to participate and raise their voices in song and chant. Guitars, bass, drums and keyboards combine to create a high energy musical offering with positive and life affirming messages tied to the message shared by Rev. De Long, a multifaith minister.
Following the service on July 25 will be a Community Dinner at 11:15 a.m.

KELSEYVILLE – Kelseyville Presbyterian Church proudly presents vacation Bible school beginning Monday, July 26.
Four-year-olds through eighth graders are welcome to attend this week of fun, games, music, crafts and Bible lessons.
The school runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, July 26, through Friday, July 30, at the church, located at 5340 Third St., behind Westamerica Bank.
Come sign up the first evening, and bring a friend or two. Nonmembers of the church are welcome to join them.
Dinner will be provided each evening, so come for the fun.
