MIDDLETOWN – Rev. Peggy Thompson will be the special speaker for this Sunday's New Life Service at the Middletown Community United Methodist Church.
The service starts at 9:45 a.m.
The July sermon theme is “Seeing Visions, Dreaming Dreams.” Rev. Thompson's message title is “God is paying attention – are we?”
Special music from Peter De Long and the Resurrections will be featured at the 9:45 a.m. July 25 New Life Service.
The Resurrections inspire congregations to participate and raise their voices in song and chant. Guitars, bass, drums and keyboards combine to create a high energy musical offering with positive and life affirming messages tied to the message shared by Rev. De Long, a multifaith minister.
Following the service on July 25 will be a Community Dinner at 11:15 a.m.
The Middletown Community United Methodist Church practices “Open hearts, open minds and open doors.”

KELSEYVILLE – Kelseyville Presbyterian Church proudly presents vacation Bible school beginning Monday, July 26.
Four-year-olds through eighth graders are welcome to attend this week of fun, games, music, crafts and Bible lessons.
The school runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, July 26, through Friday, July 30, at the church, located at 5340 Third St., behind Westamerica Bank.
Come sign up the first evening, and bring a friend or two. Nonmembers of the church are welcome to join them.
Dinner will be provided each evening, so come for the fun.

LAKE COUNTY – The Upper Lake Community United Methodist Church and the Kelseyville United Methodist Church are pleased to welcome as their new minister the Rev. Jan Brim, an elder in the United Methodist Church.
Brim has been in the ministry for 27 years, having pastored several churches before coming to Lake County.
She preaches Jesus Christ crucified and risen and seeks to meet the pastoral aspects of the community, ministering to families and individuals as needed.
The Upper Lake Community Church and the Kelseyville Church are Bible-believing congregations, which seek to minister to the spiritual needs of Lake County.
On Sunday, July 11, the congregation will meet at 604 Clover Valley Road in Upper Lake for worship service at 11 a.m. Child care is provided at 10:45 a.m.
The Kelseyville church is located at First and Main Street; worship service starts at 9 a.m.
Holy Communion is held at both churches the first Sunday of the month.
Bible study is held at the Upper Lake church office every Wednesday at 10 a.m. Kelseyville Bible study will start up again in the fall and will meet in the afternoon. The Kelseyville church Thrift shop is open every Monday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A potluck lunch is held in Upper Lake on the third Sunday of the month and in Kelseyville on the fourth Sunday.

LAKEPORT – United Christian Parish (UCP) is pleased to announce open registration for this year's vacation Bible school “High Seas Expedition.”
The adventure will take place July 26 through July 30 from 9 a.m. to noon at 745 N. Brush St. in Lakeport.
Registration is free for children kindergarten through sixth grade who sign up by July 18.
There is a late fee of $5 per child or $10 per family after July 18.
There is also a free youth leadership training component of the vacation Bible school.
Seventh through 12th graders who wish to help during vacation Bible school must attend a training event on July 22 from 10 a.m. to noon.
All community children are welcome to participate, you do not need to be a member of the church.
