UCSF study shows that aging connective tissue in the lungs brings on a catastrophic immune response in older people.

Older adults are much more likely to become seriously ill from flu or COVID-19 because aging lung cells can drive extreme immune responses, according to a new study led by researchers at UC San Francisco.
