LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The California Highway Patrol has offered new information on an ATV crash last week that injured two people.
The crash occurred shortly before 12:30 a.m. Saturday, April 11, in the area of 14683 Bartlett Springs Road, east of Indian Valley Reservoir, as Lake County News has reported.
Northshore Fire was able to make it to the scene, which was difficult to reach due to a washed out road.
Sgt. Joel Skeen of the California Highway Patrol’s Clear Lake Area office identified the driver as Manuel Centino and the passenger was Rosselie Martinez, both reported to be from the Santa Rosa area.
Centino suffered a brain bleed and injured leg, while Martinez had suffered moderate injuries, the CHP reported.
Skeen said the last information he had was that both were expected to be released from the hospitals.
The cause of the crash is believed to have been due to unsafe driving in an unknown environment during dark hours, Skeen said.
