DA's Office: CHP fatal shooting justified

LAKEPORT – A newly released report from the District Attorney's Office concludes the California Highway Patrol officers involved in shooting a reckless driver in October were justified in their actions.

Heavy rains over - for now

LAKE COUNTY - The heavy rains that fell over Lake and Mendocino counties on Thursday tapered off in the late afternoon, ushering in a forecast for more cool weather and intermittent showers through this Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Sacramento.

LUCERNE – District Attorney Gary Luck said because of the suspect's age he can't discuss the case, the charges or possible sentencing of a teenager arrested last month for a rash of graffiti in the Northshore town of Lucerne.
