On Nov. 29, the California State Fair accepted top honors at the 127th annual International Association of Fairs and Expositions, or IAFE, convention in Las Vegas.
CLEARLAKE, Calif. – The city of Clearlake Animal Control volunteers along with Orphan Dog Rescue invite members of the community to "Pet Photos with Santa.”
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at Olof Cellars, located at 5615 Highland Springs Road in Lakeport.
Community members can get their family pet photos taken with Santa and receive a professional photo print.
A suggested $15 donation supports the animals of Clearlake with spay and neuter services and other vital care needs.
NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around Lake County and the North Coast during the coming week.
Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.
LAKE COUNTY
Highway 29
– Highway Construction on the Lakeport Boulevard Overcrossing will continue. The offramp will be closed from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. weekdays. Motorists should seek an alternative route.
Highway 175
– Emergency slide work from Road 110 to Private Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
MENDOCINO COUNTY
Highway 1
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Crispin Road through Cameron Road. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Emergency highway repairs near South Fork Eel River Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 20
– Guardrail work near Road 144 and the East Fork of the Russian River Bridge will occur on Monday, Dec. 4, and Tuesday, Dec. 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 101
– Slide repairs from Comminsky Station Road to the Pieta Creek Bridge will continue. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Routine maintenance near Frog Woman Rock will continue. Northbound traffic will be restricted to one lane 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Guardrail work East of Perkins Street Overcrossing will occur on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Emergency wildfire repairs at Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorist should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Emergency work near Hermitage Vista Point will continue. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane 24 hours a day. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Slide repairs 1 mile south of Dora Creek Bridge will start on Friday, Dec. 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays.
– Emergency slide repairs at Piercy will continue. Lane restrictions will be in effect 24 hours a day. Motorist should minor traffic slowdowns.
Highway 162
– Pavement work from 1 mile west of Poonkiny to Short Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 175
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for Tree work at Russian River Private Road to begin on Monday, Dec. 4. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Emergency storm damage repairs at various locations from 1.7 miles east of Buckman Drive to the Lake/Mendocino County line will continue. One-way traffic control with a temporary traffic signal will be in effect 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
