LOWER LAKE, Calif. – LakeCoMoveToAmend is an organization of local Lake County residents, raising awareness of the need to amend the U.S. Constitution to reverse the Citizens United v F.E.C. Supreme Court decision.
The group will hold its next general meeting on Monday, Jan. 23, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 8750 Bonham Road in Lower Lake. All are invited to attend.
On the agenda is discussion of several proposed amendments, local resolution language and actions, signature gathering and future educational opportunities. Please RSVP to tajw@hotmail for planning purposes.
In the meantime, all are invited to attend two fun and important events commemorating the second anniversary of the Citizens United Decision:
"Occupy The Courts Day" action on Friday, Jan. 20, is a permitted protest at 95 federal courthouses across the nation. Lake County citizens are encouraged to participate in Sacramento, marching from Caesar Plaza to the Federal Courthouse on I Street.
There also will be a rally at the Capitol on Saturday, Jan. 21, to build support for a state resolution, calling on federal legislators to send an amendment down to the state houses.

Future meetings will occur on the third Monday of each month – coming to a location near you. The February meeting location will be in Kelseyville, exact location will be announced.
