Notice of date Registrar of Voters office will commence processing Vote-By-Mail Ballots for the November 8, 2022, General Election
THE LAKE COUNTY REGISTRAR OF VOTERS OFFICE would like to inform vote-by-mail voter observers and the public that the Registrar of Voters office, 325 North Forbes St, Lakeport will commence processing vote-by-mail ballots for the November 8, 2022, General Election, on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. The processing of the vote-by-mail voter ballots will continue through Election Day as well as, during the official canvass.
The scanning and adjudicating of the official ballots will commence on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, in the Registrar of Voters office, 325 North Forbes St, Lakeport however, results will not be announced until after the close of the polls at 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, November 8, 2022.
The official canvass will commence on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. and will continue daily, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays excepted, for not less than six hours each day until completed.

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS COUNTY OF LAKE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Lake, State of California, will hold a PUBLIC HEARING to consider an Ordinance Rescinding Specified Sections of the Lake County Zoning Ordinance Relating to Early Activation.
Early Activation of Use permits have allowed operation of a proposed land use while the application for the land use goes through the approval process. This ordinance would rescind all mention of Early Activation (EA) of Use Permits from the Zoning Ordinance. Early Activation would no longer be an option for land use permits of any type.
The public hearing will be held in the Board of Supervisors Chamber in the Courthouse on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2022, at 11:30 A.M., at which time and place interested persons may attend and be heard. Copies of the proposed Ordinance are available at the Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors.
If you challenge the action of the Board of Supervisors on any of the above stated items in court, it may be limited to only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors at, or prior to, the public hearing.
