Space News: Lightning bolts on Jupiter pack more than 100 times the power of Earth’s flashes

A camera on NASA’s Juno spacecraft took this image of a high-altitude storm — a stealth superstorm plume — in Jupiter’s North Equatorial Belt on Jan. 12, 2022. The head of the storm is white because of frozen ammonia crystals. The redder clouds are deeper in the atmosphere.
