NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING  

NOTICE OF INTENT TO ADOPT A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION  NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission, County of Lake, State of California, will  hold a public hearing to consider MAJOR USE PERMIT (UP 20-74) on Thursday, January 13, 2022,  9:30 a.m., in the Board of Supervisors’ Chambers, 255 N. Forbes Street, Lakeport, California. Due to the  COVID-19 crisis, meetings of the Lake County Planning Commission will be available for participation  virtually via Zoom and in the Board Chambers subject to social distancing requirements. Applicant/Owner: Mountain Green Farms, LLC/Cheryl Forberg. Proposed Project: Applicant is  applying for a Major Use Permit for a cannabis cultivation operation to allow 21,000 square feet of  mixed-light canopy area (Located within seven 3,000 square foot green houses) and 43,560 square  feet of outdoor canopy area located within a total of 67,080 square feet cultivation area. The project  includes a processing/drying building, a shed for fertilizer and pesticide storage, four 2,500 gallon  water tanks, security, and a perimeter fence. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE REAPPLICATION FOR AN AMENDMENT TO MAJOR USE PERMIT (UP 15-15),  ADDENDUM TO MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION (IS 15-34), AND  APPROVAL OF UP 21-24.  

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County of Lake Planning Commission will hold  a public hearing on Thursday, January 13, 2021, at 9:10 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors  Chambers, located at 255 North Forbes Street, Lakeport, CA 95453, to consider a reapplication to  amend the prior approved permit UP 15-15, an addendum to Mitigated Negative Declaration # IS  15-34, and approval of UP 21-24. The proposed project is located at 14725 Catholic Church Road,  Clearlake Oaks, CA; APN(s): 010-046-06.  

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: To consider a proposal to amend UP 15-15, to adopt UP 21- 24, and to grant the expansion of the existing use to allow for the addition of 20 beds, and the  treatment of women at the facility, and usage of an existing onsite structure, in accordance with  Lake County Zoning Ordinance Article 27, Part 27.13(e) and Article 60, Part 60.33.  

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a determination has been made that there be an  addendum to the prior mitigated negative declaration (# IS 15-34) and that the modified Project  does not trigger any of the circumstances that would require preparation of a subsequent EIR, or  negative declaration under Public Resources Code section 21166 (14 Cal. Code Regulations.  §§15162 and 15164).  

ALL INTERESTED PERSONS are invited to be present at the public hearing. All  persons may provide public comment at the time and place indicated above. Pursuant to Education Code sections 5091 and 5328, the Board of Trustees of the Upper Lake Unified School District intends to appoint a qualified person to the Board.  Persons interested in applying for the position may obtain an application online at www.ulusd.org or applications are available to pick up at the District Office at 675 Clover Valley Road, Upper Lake, CA.  For questions please contact Dina McCrea at (707) 275-2655.

Completed applications must be received in the District Office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2022. The current members of the Board of Trustees will interview applicants in open session at a meeting to be determined. Qualified applicants will be notified of the meeting date after January 7, 2022.
