LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The Knights of Columbus have announced the winners of their recent gun raffle.
The winners of the raffle, which took place on July 17, were:
First place: Raymond Painehaud of Clearlake, won a Remington 700 SPS.
Second place: Eian Fyhrman of Willits won a Marlin .22.
Third place: Doyle Head of Lake County won Steiner binoculars.
The group thanked all the people who purchased tickets and the following establishment that sold tickets for them in Clearlake: Lakeshore Bait and Tackle, B and G Tires, Clover Hydroponics Supplies, Tatonka Trading Co. and Radio Shack; Clearlake Oaks, BSG Corp.; Lower Lake, Days Supply; Middletown, CSJ Ranch Supply, Middletown Barber Shop; and in Lakeport, Lake County Guns and Rick’s Gun.

HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE, Calif. – The HVL Men's Niners Golf Club held a sweeps competition on July 29.
The results were:
First flight: Dave Mann tied for the low net of the day at 31, Joe Vallee was second with 33, and Rick Canevari and Rick Conrad tied for third at 34.
Second flight: Jim Cary and Mike Casolo tied for first with 35, and John Jones had 36.
Third flight: Bob Sclosser tied for low net of the day, 31, while Doug Carter, Bill Ferris and Phil Tyler tied for second with 35.
Fourth flight: Jay Hodges and Bill Lyon tied for first at 34, and Gary Pickrell and Ed Carver tied for third with 35.
Closest to the par 3 pins were Arch Madsen and Joe Vallee.
Mike Riley scored the only chip-in of the day.
Forty-two men participated in this event.
