LUCERNE, Calif. – A moderate-sized earthquake located near Upper Lake shook parts of Lake County on Thursday.

Older adults are much more likely to become seriously ill from flu or COVID-19 because aging lung cells can drive extreme immune responses, according to a new study led by researchers at UC San Francisco.
