LAKEPORT, Calif. – On Sunday, Dec. 15, Clear Lake Baptist Church will hold its annual Christmas program.
The program, which begins at 6 p.m., is entitled, “Good Evening, Lake County!”
The church drama team will enact a television show with two co-hosts and one roving reporter who will interview locals about the meaning of Christmas.
This multimedia event is open to everyone.
The choir will be performing as well with specials and soloists.
Afterward there will be a reception in the Family Center.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Lakeport Christian Center announces a new Bible study series on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
The series, entitled “Napkin Theology,” is facilitated by Pastor Mike Suski.
Bring the family to the study and the children will enjoy Royal Rangers (community service club for boys) and Girl's Club.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Prof. Tom Meyer, who has lived in the Middle East for 1,000 days, is stopping in Lakeport on part of his speaking tour on Sunday, Nov. 17.
Meyer will speak at Clear Lake Baptist Church, 555 N. Forbes St., beginning at 6 p.m.
Meyer – who teaches at Shasta Bible College in Redding, has sailed the Nile River, ridden camels through Jordan and walked the whole Holy Land – will be presenting a multimedia lecture on the archaeology of the Bible.
He's an author and speaker on the subject who has lived with the tent-dwelling Bedouins in the deserts of Jordan and become friendly with the ancient Samaritans to gain more insight into the world of the Bible.
Meyer is sure to hold the attention of both old and young alike as he presents compelling archaeological evidence from the most famous book in the world.
The event is free and open to the public.

MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – Come one, come all to the November meeting of Lake County Church Women United.
They will celebrate World Community Day hosted by the Ladies of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and present the program “Breaking Down the Doors of Injustice” and helping the poor.
The meeting will be held in Middletown beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Father Tracey Multipurpose Room, behind St. Joseph's Church on Bush and Young streets, one block west of Calistoga and Main streets.

Church Women United is an ecumenical group of ladies coming together to share their love for God, in song, in service (shoe fund) and prayer.
