AMENDED NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the County of Lake, State of California, will hold a public hearing on the DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT (EIR) PREPARED FOR THE VALLEY OAKS DEVELOPMENT, proposing a mixed use planned development including 105,000 to 120,000 square feet of retail space that includes a grocery store, drug and general merchandise store, and other retail uses; 85,000 to 110,000 square feet of commercial uses that include a movie theater, motel, and general office uses; a 49-bed senior care/assisted living facility; 380 single-family homes; 3.5 acres of medium density housing; and 2.5 acres of senior housing. The property is located at 18196 and 18426 South State Highway 29, Middletown (formerly the Arabian Horse Ranch), Assessor’s Parcel Numbers 014-260-36 & 51. THE PURPOSE OF THIS HEARING IS TO REVIEW THE ADEQUACY OF THE DRAFT EIR AND TO SEEK DIRECTION AND AUTHORIZATION FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR PREPARATION OF THE FINAL EIR.
