NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the County of Lake will hold a public hearing on application for a CEQA Grading Permit proposing grading to construct a residence, a caretakers cabin, stand alone bathroom, and associated utility trenching. The project applicant is John Nady. The Planning Commission will consider adoption of a Mitigated Negative Declaration for this project based on Initial Study IS 05-31, and will consider authorizing the Community Development Director to issue the proposed grading permit. The project is located at 12900 Sulphur Bank Mine Road., Clearlake Oaks, CA, APN 010-002-01 (Rattlesnake Island). The proposed mitigated negative declaration and all documents referenced in the proposed mitigated negative declaration are available for review at the Community Development Department, Lake County Courthouse, 255 North Forbes Street, Lakeport, CA, and the staff report will be available ten (10) days before the hearing. The review period during which the Community Development Department will receive comments on the proposed mitigated negative declaration will start on April 23, 2010 and end on May 13, 2010. The public hearing will be held in the Board of Supervisors’ Chamber in the Courthouse on May 13, 2010 at 1:30 PM, at which time and place interested persons may attend and be heard. If you challenge the action of the Planning Commission on any of the above stated items in court, it may be limited to only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Lake County Planning Commission at, or prior to, the public hearing.

Lakeport to present wastewater recycling feasibility study report April 20

LAKEPORT – City of Lakeport staff will make a presentation to the Lakeport City Council and the public on the recently completed wastewater recycle feasibility study report on Tuesday, April 20.


The presentation will begin at 5 p.m. at Lakeport City Hall, 225 Park St.


The report was paid for in part by a grant from the State Water Resources Control Board, Water Recycling Facilities Planning Grant Program.


Copies of the report are available for public viewing at Lakeport City Hall or online at www.cityoflakeport.com under the “hot topics” section.


The public is encouraged to attend. Questions will be taken as time allows.
